- 2003: Ana Achucarro is awarded an NWO VICI grant for het proposal "De deugd van defecten: brug tussen lab en heelal".
- December 2006: Erik Verlinde, Jan Pieter van der Schaar and Koenraad Schalm (ITPA) receive a FOM Projectruimte grant with their proposal "Cosmological Vacua in String Theory".
- 2007: Tomislav Prokopec is awarded a FOM Projectruimte grant for his proposal entitled "What curves the space-time at large scales? The quest for the origin of dark energy of the universe".
- May 2007: Daan Meerburg wins an NWO Toptalent Ph.D. grant with his proposal to study primordial nongaussiannities to constrain models of inflation. He will start his Ph.D. in September 2007 at the University of Amsterdam under the supervision of Jan Pieter van der Schaar (ITPA) and Ralph Weijers (API).
- July 2007: Marieke Postma receives an NWO VIDI grant.
- September 2007: Koenraad Schalm starts his associate professor position at the ILTP.
- December 2007: Koenraad Schalm, Jan Pieter van der Schaar and Daan Meerburg receive a Van Gogh grant to start up a collaboration with the group of Pier Stefano Corasaniti (LUTH, Meudon) in France.
- June 2008: Ph.D. student Daan Meerburg of the University of Amsterdam wins the UVA thesis prize for his master thesis on primordial nongaussiannities.
- August 2008: postdoc Paul McFadden (ITFA) is awarded an NWO VENI grant to continue his postdoctoral work for another 3 years in Amsterdam.
